Condolences / Guest Book

  1. I will miss Laura for her wry smile and her wonderful and deep understanding of the environment. She lived her passion every day. Her helpful field booklets are a wonderful legacy.

  2. Our sincere sympathy at the sad passing of Laura Levens. Laura lived a long and productive life and had a great knowledge of flora and fauna and the environment. Laura was a wonderful member of the E.A Owen Reserve Committee of Management. We had many happy times at the Reserve with Laura.

  5. Laura was a very special person, role model and mentor to many. Thankyou for teaching me (and others) to notice the little things, including invertebrates, native grasses, orchids etc. Thankyou for teaching us the value and importance or recording observations and caring for country, including all its creatures, plants and fungi. Thankyou for showing us how to crack a joke and have a laugh in our work. Your memory and legacy lives on in the knowledge you shared and through the actions of others that you taught. Thoughts and well wishes to the entire family. May she live on in your memories, stories and actions. xox

  6. I’ve just been looking at Black to Bush, Laura’s book on the regeneration of her and Bert’s property after Ash Wednesday. I had the pleasure of meeting Laura soon after the book was published and only learnt of her death now, when Googling her name.
A life well lived and what a legacy!
