  2. I feel so honored and blessed to have called Chris my friend. He had a knack of always making me smile and we shared so many laughs and fun times. He really was such special man, like a big brother and one that was loved by so many. I just want to send my deepest sympathies to the Curran family as I know this loss will be very hard to bare.

  3. Chris you were the #1 Jock at Heathmont High school, the super athlete, the nice guy. Boys wanted to be like you and the girls wanted to be close to you.
You were such a high achiever, a leader and a friend to many.
So sad that you went through some tough times, just hope you’re at peace now.
    RIP Chris.

    • Thank you Shelley for your kind words. I’m sure he is at peace now and he will be sadly missed by so many people. I don’t think he would realise how many people and hearts he touched wherever he went.

  4. To all the Curran family
We were grateful to have known and met Chris through our little school at The Caves in Queensland. He was adored by all the kids and made an excellent and caring teacher not only to my daughter Mia in year 2 but was an idol to many of the boys at school as well. RIP Chris, our little school will always remember and give thanks for your loving contribution to our community. Sincere condolences to all your friends and family. Rick, Natalie and Mia Swadling, The Caves Qld xx

    Natalie Elwin
    • Thank you Natalie for your kind words, we will miss him terribly. We had the privilege to visit the school to meet the kids and the staff last week. It was very emotional for us but it was lovely to hear how much he was loved by all. He had that effect on people wherever he went and will be sadly missed by so many.

  5. Cuz- your smile, your lame jokes, your empathy and advice, your muscly warm hugs will never be forgotten. The D&Ms we had were always so meaningful. I miss our chats. A journey you chose to take on your own….I wish you hadn’t!
Love to all of your family. Thinking of you heaps Fi, Pacey and Dec. Hugs to Jenni and family

    Kaz Burgess
    • Thank you for your kind words Kaz, we all will miss him and his cheeky grin terribly. The last few months we thought he was getting on top of his demons, but alas not to be. No matter how hard we all tried to be there for him it wasn’t enough unfortunately. At least we and the boys had some lovely quality time in recent months with him, time that we will treasure forever.

  12. My deepest condolences, I know this is so belated but I only just learned of this sad news. By far Mr Curran was and is still one of my favourite teachers. He made every kid feel valued and important, and I loved having him as my PE teacher at Christ Church. I remember on Year 5 Camp he let us girls try all these different hairstyles on him, and he just laughed and played along. Mr Curran, you are truly missed, may he rest in peace.

  13. I worked with Chris for a short while at St. John’s. Great guy, we had a great time playing tennis in the gym, learning rugby. He taught me to kick the footy. I remember him entertaining the kids at my daughters 3rd birthday. He used to make me a cup of tea and have it ready when I came in from class. Beautiful guy. Big heart. So sorry Chris. I will miss you always and think fondly of you. Caroline
