Condolences / Guest Book

  1. Mate, we never toured together, but it was always fun catching up for a chat over the many years. I especially remember hilariously doing the daily newspaper quizes at morning smoko in Port Melb.
I always envied your energy and no fuss approach to your work…. and your unquestionable loyalty. Not many blokes are so widely respected, …and NO-BLOKE can wear tight footy shorts year ’round the way you did. 🙂
Most blokes are lucky to have one trademark … but you had TWO …the Mo and the Shorts. I’ll miss ’em both.
Say HELLO to Greggy T up there for me, he’ll cheer you up. Cheers bro.

  4. Sorry to see you go to the great gig in the sky.
You were a great neighbour to Maddy & I, helping out when needed.
Although you did play your music a little loud into the early hours of the morning.

  5. I only knew you for a short few months before covid hit but you were one of the best people I know! It breaks my heart that I won’t see you at work when we eventually go back, but I’ll be working in your memory to make events the way you always wanted them! Rest easy man❤️
    -Sophie

I’ll always consider Weasle to be my first boss. Walking into GigPower for the first time, being inducted by someone with such a great attitude, always being met with that great attitude over the phone and at work was always a treat and that will be something that not only I will miss, but I think the whole crew is always going to miss working with someone as great as Weasle.
Hopefully he isn’t too hard on the crew on The Great Gig in the Sky.
    -Alister❤️

  6. Hey Weez.
We are no longer side by side.
    Or back to back.
As we have spent our decades.
    No more bouts,
    No more Jack,
    No more predawn raids.
    Your fellow historians
Of great rock and great wars
    Eagerly await you
    To answer all your questions
    Compare their notes
And learn a thing or two.

Goodbye (for now) my dear, dear friend.

  7. I’m actually lost for words to be honest, I’ll never forget our first bands and gigs together, always out your place fishers road Jamming, nearly every night.
Or down old Drouin road, in those days, You ,Me Davo and Carl could have blitzed anyone.
to be part of those memories is an Honour., to have been your mate was immense.
    Always. Rohan Moran.

  9. Weasle was the most fun, the most helpful and the most loyal friend anyone could hope for. A great drummer, a great lighting guy, a great crew boss and a great storyteller. People use the term ‘one of a kind’ a lot, but it truly applied to Weez – there was no one else like him! He’ll be greatly missed. Condolences to all who knew and loved him, of which there are many, but especially his family. Rock on bloke!

  12. When I started with GigPower I was young (and probably more naive than I would ever admit to) but Weasle was one of the first people to take me under his wing. Whether it was walking into the Port Melbourne office and settling in to have a chat or standing on a stage in matching LX Crew shirts, spending my time with Weasle and the GigPower family never felt like work and are still some of my fondest memories.

Weasle, you welcomed me into the crew and helped to guide me through those first gigs. You were a natural leader and with your whistle we’d all muster ready to take on whatever challenges were behind those truck doors. It was a time when we partied as hard as we worked and sleep was never high on the list of priorities but we’d laugh a lot and I know we had each other’s backs.

We’d work through scorching heat in the sun and long cold rainy days. No matter what,
Weasle was the one to bring the cheer. His cheeky grin creepy from under his magnificent moustache would always brighten the stage. I’ll never forget those days and all I learnt from you Weasle, not just about how to work hard against the odds, but to always do it with honour and a smile. You will be missed by all who ever met you but your legend will live on in our hearts forever.

  14. Mate it comes with great sadness to learn of your passing. You were for many of us the first point of call when starting our entertainment production careers.

From my humble beginnings with Gig Power, I ended up touring and developing a successful freelance career in the US. You were the guy who was responsible for giving me my first shot in the industry

I didn’t know you all to well on a personal level, but you were cool, down to earth and a man of integrity

In other words you were a bloody legend mate.

My deepest condolences to your family
