  2. Dear Judy, Geoff, Sam and Todd, Howard and Adrian and families,

I am so very sad to hear the news of Ruth’s passing. So many years of wonderful memories visiting your family home. Not sure whether I lived more at your place or Judy at mine, but your mum always made me feel like I was at home.
Try to treasure all the loving memories as they will help to bring a smile in times to come.
My love is with you all during this time. My mum also sends her love and condolences and was so saddened to hear the news.
Mum and I will not attend the funeral due to Covid restrictions, but will sit together on her couch and share in the loving tribute via livestream on Monday.
Thank you for allowing us to share in this day.
    With love,
    Robyn and Andrew Bickers xx

  4. Dear Howard,
I am so sorry that we have lost Ruthie, she sent me a beautiful happy note just before Christmas, finishing with off out for pre Christmas lunch with a group. Sounded her usual happy self doing the things she loved to do.
We have known each other for many years and it has always been fun meeting up with her, The Guild, the Guild teaching group, Harrietville, we did that together for such a long time, she gave her time happily and always with good humor.
After she lost your sister and David she was amazing, she managed to pull herself back together and get on with life. All her trips over seas, the Cooking School in France, did it on her own the first time there she met all those Americans, went to visit them and some of them even came here to visit her.
Then she came to Turkey with me & Pat and it was great to have her with us, she fell in love with the Turkish puddings and the fact that all the evening meals were self serve meaning she could taste as many as she liked.
I am sorry that we can’t all be together to farewell her but the limit on people attending is there so I will just have to stay home and watch it here.
We are still living at Trawool, don’t know if you ever pass by now.
My best regards to you and your brother & sister, I know you will all be feeling your loss, the grand children also.
    My love,
    Virginia Harrison

  8. Bob met Ruth when they both attended a cooking class in France. Ruth had a curiosity about the world. Her adventurous spirit took her many places. We were lucky to have had her visit us in Montana and then be able to visit her in beautiful Australia. Ruth was an amazing hostess and we enjoyed meeting her lovely family during our visit. Our hearts go out to all of you. Ruth’s presence enriched everyone she met. She will be missed by all of us fortunate enough to have known her.
