    Rob was my 1st. boss. He was patient, kind, understanding and always willing to spend time teaching new skills and imparting his knowledge.
    He was an inspiration to me both as a tradesman and as a man.
    He never spoke ill of anyone, he was respectful, unpretentious and humble.
    The community is poorer with his passing, but richer for his contribution.

    Carol and family, the community is full of stories and memories of personal experience of Rob Porter. I am grateful for the friendship he had with my dad, Alfie. I am thankful for the support and protection he has given my mum Roma as a widow. I personally respect his graciousness and encouragement as a footy ump, even though he didn’t agree with my decisions.
    He was a very good man, and will be sorely missed.
