RIP Richard. A Duntroon classmate and true gentleman. My condolences to Richard’s family
Rest in peace Richard. I’m so glad we had a chance to chat and knowing how courageous you were.
Sincere condolences to your family.
In our thoughts and prayers.
Very sad to hear of Richard’s passing. We were classmates at Duntroon for a few years from 1969 and I recall his bright and friendly character.
May he rest peacefully his duty done.
I knew Richard at Duntroon many years ago, and although our paths rarely crossed in the years since graduation, my memory is of a kind, generous and professional officer and a true gentleman. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him – my sincere condolences to all his family.
My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of my RMC 1972 Classmate Richard Carter.
A gentle soul and a good friend.
We had many insightful and stimulating conversations over the years.
You will remain in my heart and be much missed.
Sincere condolences to your family

Our deepest condolences to Trish and Jacqui and families at this very sad time.
Richard once described himself as a journeyman and one of his huge passions was the deep discovery of our human condition. His steadfast support and guidance for all of us who began our own journeys will be very sorely missed.
I will always treasure our time at Esalen, as fellow students at Swinburne and the many years of mateship (and great reds).
Rest in peace wonderful friend and best mate.
Dale, Dana, Zac, Tob, Dani, Beck and Adam.
Thinking of you all at this most difficult time.
Sending love to you all.

Words fail to describe such an immense loss
We made the most of our few years walking the path
I am honoured to have worked with and learned so much from you.
Your generosity of spirit is a healing force in many lives,
a light shining bright even in our mourning.
May you rest in peace, my brother
Your time came and you accepted it gracefully
And you will live as long as we live…
In the memories and feelings of your presence,
and the deliberate way you loved and cared.
To Jacki, Trish and family,
Our deepest sympathies are with you at this very sad time.
May he rest in peace.
Joy, Joerg and family xx

Richard and I met during the summer of 1991 when we both volunteered at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. We remained pen pals and good friends ever since. I am glad that I was able to speak with him on the telephone before his death. He was a very thoughtful, wise, and introspective
person, and I will miss him.
Thank you. Your message will be displayed once moderated. This may take up to 24 hours.
