Peter John (PJ) Herrington
Passed away peacefully, surrounded
by family on Sunday 13th February 2022.
Aged 85 years.
Dearly loved husband of Mavis.
Loving father and father-in-law of
Claire, Robert, Ian, Andrew and their partners.
Adored Pop/Poppy to 12 grandchildren
and 8 great grandchildren.
Respected friend, Rotarian and mentor to many.
Forever in our hearts.

A Funeral Service for
Peter Herrington will be held at
David W Bull Pakenham Funeral Home

190 Princes Highway, Pakenham on
Monday 21st February 2022
commencing at 2:00 p.m.
A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers a donation to
Myositis Australia
would be appreciated.

  6. So sadden to hear this news. Peter welcomed (as Peter did so well) this little Canadian hydroseeder when I came to visit a couple decades ago. He was a pioneer in our field and admired by many all over the world.

  7. I feel privileged that over the past 42 years I was able to call PJ my surrogate uncle, my boss and most importantly my friend.
    He always offered a story to tell, laugh to have, drink to share, poem to scribe, ear to listen and advice to give. So many precious memories that will never be forgotten. Rest peacefully you special human!

  11. We will always cherish the memories of Peter as a dear friend of the Tyrus family for many decades.
    We loved our get-togethers for Scouting and Gang Show functions as well as special family occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.
    Peter was always generous and helpful to Wal (Waddick) when Dad called in to pick up garden supplies.
    Peter’s wonderful smile and friendly nature endeared him to everyone.
    Edie always looked forward to catching up with Mavis and Peter and valued their close friendship.
    To our dear Mavis, Claire, Robert, Ian, Andrew and all the family, we extend our sincere condolences.

Our sincere Condolences go to All the Herrington Families at this sad time… Ted , ,first met the Herrington Family around 1971, in the middle of a cold winter at their home in Cranbourne Sth. & The Bould Family met the Herrington Family in 1980 at Pakenham . We all have fond memories of Peter. A very thoughtful & caring Family man. When Peter needed his “” well travelled mobile scooter “” to get around town, We enjoyed his visits up to our home..     My condolences to you all. He was a great man and i will never ever forget him.
    He was a great boss and i will never forget that he gave me a go and believed in me at the age of 15. I still to this day talk about my days at BWD and whenever i go past somewhere that we had seeded or planted out it takes me back to those days.
    That was a very touching and beautiful service / tribute to him.
