  3. We were close friends once and he was always a loyal and reliable friend. Unfortunately we drifted and I hadn’t seen him for about 9 years but had been in a bit of contact recently.

I only have good memories of him and I reckon most would – because fundamentally he was a good guy.

He was a notably responsible person. Even in the late teens and early 20s I cannot remember him doing any reckless or risky things like most others did at those ages.

My thoughts are with the Bee family. Neither Michael nor you deserved this in any way. I can only lament his bad luck, but at the end of the day it’s just that, and there is nothing we can do about our luck.

    With deepest sympathy, Geoff.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Michael. I nursed Michael when he was a patient on 9 east, St Vincent’s Hospital. Always such a sweet and happy guy! It was a pleasure to know him and to care for him. Sending love to his parents and brother, and family and friends xo

  10. You were my longest friend and have been a huge influence on my life since the very beginning, when we were the only edgy metal kids in year 8. I really don’t know where I’d be if it weren’t for the all of the gig outings that we had throughout the years. They always seemed to coincide with or be the cause of something important happening in my life and helped me to stay in touch with the metal monkey inside. So thank you for all of the good times and memories, champion. My best wishes go out to the family, friends and all of the people that your life has impacted now left behind. I’ll be blasting Victory Songs in remembrance today. Cheers to Bee!

  17. Dear Wendy, Graeme and Clint, What a wonderful celebration for your dearly loved Michael it was. We were honoured to be there and share in the special memories that made him the person he was. Although we didn’t know Michael well like we know you, it is so easy to see where he got his big and beautiful heart from. One reason he was much loved was because he thought of others and put their needs first. What a courageous guy he was, the way he fought his battle with cancer drawing on inner strength and such love from you, his amazing family. The road ahead for you guys will have times of heartache and sadness, not having him right here with you but also joy and happiness as you reflect on the wonderful man he was and a son and brother whom you are so proud of. We are here for you in the laughter and the tears, throughout the valleys and the mountain tops that is life. May He rest now in peace. Keeping you in our prayers! Much love to you all, John, Susan, Bradley, Lachlan, Annaliese and Sonny.xoxoxo
