on 16th December 2021.
Dearly loved and loving wife of Peter.
Beautiful mother of Natalie & Kirk (dec.), and
Michael (dec.) & Donna, and
Mother-in-law of Kylie.
Much loved sister, aunt and cousin of
Tom and family in Northern Ireland and Canada.
Step-sister of Lucienne.
A life joyfully and gracefully lived.

Tuesday 21st December 2021
commencing at 10:00 a.m.
A private family burial will follow.

My condolences to Peter, Natalie and all the family. I knew a younger Mavis in Toronto and was very happy to be a friend and keep in touch through the years. I am so sorry that Mavis has left us. She was a delight and a person well loved by her Canadian colleagues. I did see her once when she visited Irene in Owen Sound. I tried on several occasions to make contact with her over the past years but was not successful. My love and prayers to Mavis’s husband David and her family. My deepest sympathy to all. Much love!

My sincere condolences to you all at this very sad time. Mavis was a wonderfully gifted person, who shared herself with those she met.
I worked with Mavis, both in North Melbourne when she was a Huntington’s Disease social worker, and again in Gippsland at CoCare/LCHS.
Kindness, professionalism and integrity marked her working life, empathy, intelligence and a strong sense of social justice were her personal gifts.
Her love of family and deep Christian beliefs were her foundation.
She will be missed by this world.
Dear Peter, Natalie, and family,
Our thoughts and love fly over the ocean, from New Zealand, to be with you. Mavis was so vibrant and caring, with a great sense of humour, a love of family, and such a kind friend.
She loved travel, and we are so pleased that she and Peter enjoyed some Kiwi adventures together. We consider ourselves blessed to have met the Robson family in Karratha, all those years ago. Mavis influenced so many lives, but most of all, she shone out as a loving and beloved wife and mother.
Mavis (and Peter, Natalie and Kirk) became an essential part of my life during our days in Karratha in the early 1980s. We shared many hours with small children, talked much, ate together and became like family. Although we have lived in different states since then, we stayed in contact, visited when we could, and in recent years, talked around some of life’s inevitable challenges. I was fortunate to have one such meeting with Mavis only a few months ago in Victor Harbor.
It was, and will continue to be, a joy and a privilege to know and love Mavis. A big hug for you both, Peter and Natalie.
