Margaret Blanden (nee Cox)
Passed away peacefully on 9th August 2021
after a brief illness, aged 85.
Widow of the late William (Bill) Blanden
and dear friend to the late Harry George.
Eldest child of the late Ralph and Norma Cox.
Loving eldest sister of Bill, Enid Meldrum and Jeff.
Dearly loved mother and respected mother-in-law
of Phil Blanden & Alison Crombie,
Penny & Bruce Jewell, Ian & Gianella Blanden.
Treasured Gran of Aaron & Rachel,
Emma & Dylan, Hamish and Cameron.

Good friend to many.
A community spirited lady who lived a
rich and rewarding life at her own unique pace.

A Private cremation held.

  1. I remember how marg used to send us out on our weekend getaways with a comment about being safe. We were so young back then. Marg always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude

    She was so kind, so vibrant and full of energy.
    She loved her garden..and thankfully ours at times!

We first met Margaret when she was with Harry George when she accompanied him on visits to the Kitchin family( who are dear friends of ours .)/Over the years we saw her many times as she was always in touch with the Kitchin family even after Harry’s demise .She was always in touch for all family occasions and visited them often.
    We remember her as a vital,energetic lady who was beloved by the family and we enjoyed her company very much .
