  2. Karen, I remember your always mischievous smile & ability to laugh everything off. I don’t ever remember you being upset about anything. You were joyous, welcoming, loving and generous. It didn’t matter if you were up to your neck in kids and washing; you always found the time to put the kettle on and have a chat. I remember so many of those times at your kitchen bench, when I would drop in for a quick cuppa and before I knew it, it was kinder or school pick up time (which hopefully we remembered) and sometimes it was dinner time!
It was a privilege to know you and although we had not seen each other for a while, the memories remain.
Sending love and support to Ron and all the kids and grandies and all who love you – you were the epitome of what a loving mother, wife and friend looks like.
Go free in love and peace. Vicki Macdermid, Blake and Adi

  3. My thoughts and love are with you Ron and family in your time of grief and sadness. May your precious memories of your beautiful Karen comfort you and help you through each day. Unfortunately I am unable to attend Karen’s funeral but I will be there online in my purple. RIP Karen. All my love, Marilyn

  4. Your children got a star named after you,
And now you fly amongst them too.
Down here on Earth you’ll be sorely missed,
There’s many lives you’ve touched and hearts you’ve kissed.
But Karen, you leave behind the grandest legacy of all,
11 delightful people, all attractive, kind and tall.
11 beautiful hearts who called you mum,
And adding up all their kids it’s quite the sum.
And then there’s Ron, your chosen one.
A man more loving and caring there is none.
So rest in peace knowing that you’ve done so well,
Your life was short but fruitful and time will tell,
That you’ll live on in spirit, through all your girls and boys,
You’ll live on through Sunday lunches, in all that family noise,
You’ll live even when you’re not alive,
Because legends like you never truly die.

Love and sincerest condolences to all you Johnsons. From Dani, Alberto, Nikola and Leo

  10. Our sincere condolences to Ron and all the family. We are so saddened to hear of Karen’s passing. We have so many memories of fun times together spanning over 40+ years as families grew. Karen was always such a happy person who took pleasure in the simple things. Her family was her world. I remember when we first met in Oklahoma City she expressed the desire to be a wife and mother and she would be the happiest person. Karen certainly lived up to her wish. Karen will be sorely missed. Love Helga, Ian and the family.
