In my experience, Joy was kind, inclusive, welcoming, accepting, loyal, a seeker of truth, and faithful, by which I mean “faith-full”. The world is a far better place for having had her in it and a much depleted place by her passing. My sincere sympathy to all members of her family for the loss of a beautiful soul.

I remember when Joy used to give us religious instruction at Gembrook Primary.
Her love for God, Jim, her family and community, was always evident and plain to see.
I’m sure she will be resting in peace, in God’s heavenly kingdom.
Our Deepest Sympathy to all of Joy’s family, such a beautiful service , I am sure you have made Mum so proud with all of the beautiful memories of her life. We will all miss her beautiful smile and her warm embrace. Always ready to help everyone .May she Rest In Peace. Vera & Joe Firrito & Family
Thanks for the opportunity to be present at Joy’s funeral. I’m sure it was because Joy and Vin attended RCIA meetings when John became a Catholic in 1987 that I met Joy. She always asked how John was. We met infrequently over the years at Parish functions or Retreats. I always felt a connection ….Joy’s gift, as Steve and Irene shared. So lovely to see Fr Peter celebrate Joy’s funeral Mass. John and I felt privileged to share your joys and sorrows.
Rest in peace Joy.
May God bless you all!
Regards
Maureen Miller

Our deepest condolences on the sad loss of your dear Mother – Joy
She was a true Lady with a great sense of family, community and church.
Her gentle touch, soft and warm smile with a kind word was truly endearing and a window to a generous heart.
We know that she and your Father will be forever in peace, love and harmony with their faith and trust in what the Gospels promise –
John 14:2 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
Warmest regards – Tim and Mary Greene – Christopher and David (Ex St Joseph’s Emerald)
