  2. To Lisa, Kerrie, Stephen and families – we would like to extend our deepest sympathy on the passing of your dad and our friend John or as some of us called him – Mr Van – the memories of our childhood and living in the same street and having you Mr Van as our neighbour and friend, the times you help us and spent time with us are memories we will never forget – we think of you at this time and think back to our time at Fairlie Avenue and wouldn’t change it for the world. We appreciated everything you did for us and always think of you with that cheeky smile and the twinkle in your eye that you always had. We will think of you all at this time. xoxo

    • Thank you Mrs Oppy for your lovely words. Having your family as our extended family has made our lives richer and very memorable and we also would not have changed anything.

    • Thanks Mrs O & family for your kind words. So many happy memories of Fairlie Ave. We were so lucky to all grow up in a great street. Amazing that 60 years later we are all still in contact.
