they cause in the world die away,
until the clock wound up winds down,
until the wine she made has finished its ferment,
until the crop they planted is harvested.
The span of someone’s life is only
the core of their actual existence.”

― Terry Pratchett

  6. I send my deepest condolences to you Judy and family. What special memories I have of my time in Australia and the two visits I’ve made since leaving in 1976. You and John were my two favorite “kinder parents” and since I taught all 3 of your awesome children in preschool, we had many fun years together (1972-1976). John’s sense of humor and your “dry” wit, combined with a few beers, gave this Yankee girl fond memories I’ve kept for over 40 years. I’ve admired your marriage from afar and know you will all comfort one another during this sad time. John was a good man and his memory will live on through you, his children, grandchildren and those of us who were fortunate to call him friend. Sending my love from the U.S. Sandy
