  6. Joan’s gentle and serene presence always made us comfortable. Beneath the calm exterior the gentlest of prodding revealed an impish sense of humour and delight in sharing a story. Many years ago Joan gave me a birds nest fern. Over time it has survived many battles and will remain a constant reminder of a beautiful lady. We miss you. Love to our brother Peter and his family.

  13. That was a beautiful service Peter, and thanks for the opportunity to be with you on line to watch it. It was very interesting to hear Joan’s life story. She had certainly lived with an enthusiasm for venture, and I am sure you will be missing that partnership you had in some of those ventures. Our thoughts are with you and the family.
