Condolences / Guest Book

  1. In loving memory of Ian. He was a man of integrity, intelligence and unwavering faith in God who impacted those he came in contact with. He lived his faith in a way that was tangible and left you in no doubt that he was a deeply committed Christian seeking to live his life in accordance with God’s will for him.
I have the greatest respect for him and know that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
With special love to Fiona, Mark, Brittany, Maddison, Michael and Chris.

  2. Our love and prayers to the family in the passing of Ian. Joan and Ian were good solid officers at Camberwell and later very supportive and encouraging soldiers. It has been a pleasure knowing both of them over the years, and it is sad that we cannot celebrate Ian’s life during these lockdown days. We will be thinking of the family on Friday.

  8. Dear Ian,

A man of principle and courage. I certainly appreciate the support he gave our struggling group of IMPACT back in the day.

  9. A wonderful uncle whom I’ve known all my life. Many precious memoried of fun family visits with Uncle Ian & Auntie Joan, Fiona and Cameron whilst growing up and over the years. Uncle Ian was always the wise man from a distance – living in another city to us, the interested listener and encourager of a young, then older nephew trying to make their way in the world. Always a special moment to see Dad and Uncle Ian together. Knowing that they’re both together with the Lord now is a profound final encouragement from my Uncle. Love to Fiona and your dear family today!

  10. Yvonne and I have many special memories of Ian. He was Christian gentleman with a heart for God and the Salvation Army. He was especially a great encourager for us when we were the Corps Officers at Camberwell and his quiet presence at Silent Retreats held at Santa Casa in Queenscliff.
Our thoughts and prayers with his family at this time.

  11. My thoughts and prayers are with Ian’s family at this special time. I will remember two things about Ian; his words of encouragement to me, and his love of personal testimonies. I guess that flowed from his own experience of the grace of God in his life. He was a truly wonderful witness.

  13. What a beautiful service and we would like to extend our love and prayers to all Ian’s family at this sad time.
We first met Joan,Ian,Cameron and Fiona in 1970 and Ian has always been very involved in our church at Camberwell and contributed in many ways.He often quoted verses of the songs in our song book very eloquently and this is one of the things we will remember him for..
Also he really cared for Ivy Nicholson after Joan’s father died and I know her family in England so appreciated his special care.
We’ll miss you Ian.’Well done ,good and faithful servant’

  14. My deepest sympathy to all the family. There was only one Ian!
Ian and Joan were so good to us when we arrived in Australia nearly 50 years ago and that friendship continued. Ian was a true Christian gentleman who loved his Lord and knew his final destination.
May you be aware of God’s comfort and peace surrounding you in the days ahead.
    Love and Prayers.

  16. Sending to you Fiona, Sue and all your families our love from Auntie Eva’s ( Pearse ) family Olive, Marjorie, Desmond and Kevin.
It was of great sadness to hear of the passing of our cousin, Ian.
He was a man with various interests in life and all the challenges put before him.
Time and distance brought with it disappointment of our getting together.
When the Wallace’s and Pearse’s, got together they were times of laughter and joy.
We will always be grateful for him and Graham, being part of our lives.
May the presence of love and God’s care surround you during these days and always.

Olive, Marjorie, Desmond and Kevin ( Pearse )
