What a guy. A great sence of humour and a really good bowler. Always willing to put up his hand to help at the club, either in the kitchen or with Bare Foot Bowlers.
Will miss our chats Fred. RIP
My condolences to Fred’s family. A good bloke gone too soon. He was a champion bowler and bloke. He will be missed on the greens at the Berwick Bowling Club. I will miss him too!
How can I describe Freddie. He was a true Aussie battler, a gentleman, a wild man in his youth I’m told. Fred
had a good sense of humour and he never complained. He was a very good bowler. Fred will be missed at the Berwick Bowling Club. I know I miss him. To Fred’s family please accept my condolences.
Rest In Peace Freddie.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I played many games of bowls with Fred at Berwick and often shared a table afterwards. He was a gentleman and always made time for us new bowlers. He will be missed by all. Regards Vince Miceli
I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to meet & become friends with Fred Black.
Fred was a fierce & respected competitor on the green & brought his friendly demeanour & quirky sense of humour to the social gatherings off the green.
To be in Fred’s company was always an enjoyable occasion. Thank you Fred; safe journey.
Mike & Jacquie Hodges.
Fred was a great man of few words and with quick and funny jokes. He was a good mate and we will sadly miss him.

We were honoured to have known Fred for the last 7 years as his neighbour. We loved the chats, the stories and the history he gave us on the area. He was an absolute gentleman and we loved his caring and passive nature.
We have missed him over the last year or so since he got sick and moved away, but we are now totally saddened by his passing.
Love Ange, Sheri and Sophia.
God Bless.
Our sincere thoughts and condolences go out to the family at this sad time
Fred and his dad Bert were very good neighbours to us over a very long time Something like 45yrs
We will remember Fred as being fairly quiet spoken with a sense of humour and a caring nature

Fred,
You were a true gentleman and an absolute Australian legend!
I will never forget the day you introduced me to the biggest huntsman spider that was a resident in your home!!
When I saw you many years later you hadn’t aged a-bit and still had the same sense of humour I remembered so fondly from when I visited you as a child.
You will be missed.
Rest in peace Fred.
