Loving son Rudi and grandson Michio who cannot be physically present today wish to express our sorrow at the passing of Doortje, who lived a long and rich life. Family was so very important to her all her life!
Thinking of you all today. Tante Doortje was a wonderful woman and an inspiration. I remember many times Oma (Nettie) taking us to visit when I was little, there were always lots of laughs and plenty of delicious sweet treats. Sending love.

I always loved Doortje’s warm welcome and kind heart. She was always interested in everything we were doing and found light in everyone. She was a beautiful person and much loved by me. I always loved visiting her and looked forward to her sliced egg and mayonnaise on Saltine crackers. Fabulous.
She will always have a place in my heart.
