You left us far too soon, I have never known such a loving, caring , wonderful funny bugger as my Uncle Colin, we had so much fun on the Friday Currie in a hurry nights, the Sunday morning, what shall we paint? Is it beer o’clock yet? You will be missed forever and loved always and your smile will never be forgotten RIP

  5. Rest In Peace Dad❤️

It was so hard to do
And I’m very sad to say
    That on Saturday I watched
    As you faded away.

    Sunday came
And it hurts more to say
That you took your last breath
    And passed away.

You will forever hold a place inside my heart
    A lifetime of memories shared
You fought so very long and hard
    Through these cruelest of years

I wish you weren’t in pain all this time
That the cancer had not begun
You put up an amazing fight for life
    Unfortunately it won.

    As a person
You had a down to earth spirit
A love of fishing and golf
An immensely joyful sense of humour
And the beer would always be cold

You had a fantastic coin collection
A whip from a jockey from the shop
You were really good at making things
And the music would always be up.

Celebrations at your house were fantastic
    Like Easter and Melbourne cup
    Barbecue would be cooking away
The beer can up the chickens butt

Huge pride for being a kiwi
    An Aussie you became
    A Grandad to 10
    Father to 2
Many friends made along the way.

I have missed you in my life Dad
    I had nothing but respect
I only wish we had good years
    Before I shed these tears.

You shared with me some of your deepest thoughts
    When you were in despair
    My heart breaks for you
That life could be so unfair

Our past may be filled with turmoil
    One thing will never change
The love in my heart for you Dad
    Will always remain.

Not one day will go by without
A thought of you on my mind
I have cherish our time together
You will be missed for all time
    Loved always.
    I love you Dad.

    Trudi
