Feel no guilt in laughter
He knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile
That he’s not there to share
You cannot grieve forever
He would not want you to
He’d hope that you would carry on
The way you always do
So talk about the good times
And the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together
All the happiness that you shared
Let memories surround you
A word someone might say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here
And fills you with the feelings that say he’s always near
If you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And they will live forever safely locked within your heart
Words seem so feeble in moments like these
Life is so precious and death such a thief
The depths of your pain we cannot comprehend but we will stand alongside you during these times of darkness, my friend
Love is bond that death cannot part. Gone from our arms, but still held in our heart.

I will always remember Bernard as a much loved cousin and Godfather to our son David. As a child the very best school holidays were spent at the Seebeck farm at Rowville with Bernard and Lyall. It was always a very happy (and busy) time. As well there were many memorable times shared at Pt Leo and then Shady Creek. What a great time we had. All precious memories now. I remember Bernard’s work ethic was always strong, very strong, he always worked hard at all he did and gave it his best.
Bernard will always have a very special place in my heart.
Bernard will be greatly missed by our family. Maya Angelou says “A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.”
I pray the soul of a very special man will now be resting peacefully.

You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Having worked for Bernie for many years now, I have always been grateful for the spirit in which he approached land development. It is a rare privilege in that industry to know that your client is as invested in a great outcome as you are. Bernie always expressed a sincere intention to create places where families can grow and have opportunities to best enjoy their lives. That intention will continue to underpin his immense contribution to the communities he has built and those that his family will develop in the years to come – a legacy that his nearest and dearest are surely incredibly proud of.
My most sincere condolences to the Seebeck family. Farewell Bernie – you will be missed.
A sad and heartfelt farewell Bern. Admiration and respect always. Many great memories with Bern and Meredith will always be with Melva and me. A last roundup just a dream. Rest In Peace mate.
Melva and Peter Hyde.
It was such a pleasure to have met Bern, he was a sweet, kind, hardworking and passionate man. Although I only knew him a short time I could see the love he had for his family. I can see so many of his traits in his daughter and grandkids and his legacy will live on through them.
Our thoughts are with you all, Rest In Peace dear Bern.
Fond memories of happy times at Shady Creek and cattle musters with Bernard – a polite, caring & considerate gentleman
From Age 4, Bernard & Lyn were in the same grade at school all through primary & secondary.
A friendship that spanned 73 years.
The Dennis family extend their condolences to Meredith, Alema & family along with Lyall & Sue & Family.

Dear Bern, you were not only a dear friend but family to us for the past 20 years. Your generosity, love and care you have always shown our family has been second to none over the years. My favourite memories growing up with Al would be Friday night fish and chips at O’Shea road followed by hide and seek after dinner that we would make you play for hours and hours. Not to mention the classic cattle musters at shady displaying no fear, no matter how crazy those cows got!
You gave us our love for the land and way of life we couldn’t live without today, for that we will be always truly grateful. I will always hold the memories we share so close to my heart. We will miss you so much and I hope you are now resting peacefully. Love always Sarah Kane
Condolences to Meredith, Alema, Lyall and families.
We are saddened to read of the passing of Bernie.
Bernie was a respected client of ours, whilst working on many of his early development projects.
Always hands on to ensure the job was to his liking; a pleasure to work with.
A good business man, always in a hurry, but liked a quick chat.
Many fond memories; we will miss him.
Treasure your many memories.
Regards, Ian & Glennda , Deanne, Dallas & Owen Studd
With a heavy heart, and gathering all my courage, because I never imagined I will have to express my love and respect for Bernie this way.
Bernie has always been like a father figure for me in every way.
From those every Friday evening catch ups at work with just the two of us, having those long chats about work, expansion, community, life…. to believing and trusting in me and my work and always having my back.
He was a pure, generous and genuine soul and a man with the right vision for his people and his community.
It was a great honour to have known him personally and professionally.
Bernie you may have lost your life but we have lost so much more in losing you.
My heartfelt condolences to Meredith, Ally, Brad and to the entire Seebeck family on their loss.
Thinking and sending love to all of Bernie’s family loved ones and friends at this very sad time. XXX

I am proud I will always be able to say I knew Bernie Seebeck. He inspired and taught me so much, as he did for many others. His legacy and influence will carry on for generations, through all those he personally influenced, and through all the opportunities he has provided for thousands of families who never even met him. We mourn as we have lost a great man.

Warmest regards, Karen McDonald, Margaret McDonald and Craig McDonald.
Hello everyone, it’s Billy here.
To the entire Seebeck families, it is with the deepest heartfelt sadness that we have received news of Bernard’s passing. I worked with and for the Seebeck family from the late 1970s. My friendship, love, respect and gratitude to the Seebeck family runs deep. Starting at Rowville then Narre Warren North, Coldstream, Shady Creek and Berwick. What wonderful memories I have. Bernard and I spent many hours working together alongside Lyall and Mr Seebeck senior at the properties.
In the kitchen at Rowville, Bernard and I never left without me having a cup of tea and wonderful conversation with Mrs Seebeck, while waiting for Bernard to change from his day job clothes into his farm work clothes.
I would fuel the F100 and Bernard, myself and Mr Seebeck would head off to work at one of the properties, some days returning around midnight.
To Meredith, Alema and family. To Lyall, Sue and family our deepest sympathy.
May the Lord comfort you in your grief. May the Lord watch over Bernard. May he rest in peace until the day of the Lord. Because in that day, we will all rejoice forever more.
Billy, Arte, Allison, Fiona, Claire, James and Luke, the McDonald family.
Condolences to Ally, Brad and the Entire Seebeck family.
Our condolences to the whole Seebeck Family, My family’s hearts are with you and your family in this hard time.
Today and always, may fond memories of Bern bring you peace, support, and strength.
I have had the privilege of knowing Bern for around 10 years he was one of the people I respected the most in life, he always had the time to say hello to everyone no matter who they were and always remembered their name.
You will be missed but will always be remembered.
Condolences to the Seebeck family. Thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this difficult time.
My condolences Bernard is a man who will be missed by many.
In my younger years I spent many school holidays with Bernard and Uncle Bernie. I worked at Rowville, Shady Creek, Coldstream, and Berwick North. Bernard was kind and taught me so much that still shapes my attitude to life. At the time being sixteen years older than me, he was more of an older brother or mentor to me in those teen years. From Bernard I learnt the need for honest work and that once work was started it had to be seen through somehow. Those memories and the lessons he taught me will live with me all my life. A true gentleman and a kind, loving man.
You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray he’ll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all he’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him, or you can full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him only that he is gone, or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back.
Or you an do what he’d want, smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
A limb has fallen from the family tree, remember the best times, continue traditions, no matter how small.
To Meredith, Ally, Brad, Isla, Bethany & Myles – Keep on smiling, the sun will shine through x
Thanks for all the time you gave me. Your patience, guidance and wisdom will never be forgotten. You will continue to shape my life even though your no longer with us. Thank you Barney. I will you miss you very much.
Sending my heartfelt sympathy to all the Seebeck family.
Bernie was a lovely man who will be missed by many.
My deepest condolences to you Meredith and Alema, Brad and all the family on Bern’s passing. Your cherished memories will be many and varied, his love for you will be with you forever. Rest in peace Bern.
Bernie – a most considerate, thoughtful and caring gentleman; always hard-working with a second to none work ethic. A man who so dearly loved his family.
You will remain in our hearts forever, rest in peace now.
Our love to Meredith, Alema, Brad, Isla, Bethany & Myles.
Bernie thanks so much to you and the family for the wonderful impact you have made to so many lives (especially in our area!).
The countless you’ve employed and the thousands who now have new homes and communities thanks to your tireless efforts!
My first outing with you was to Amberly Acres in Drouin in the old Cruiser equipped with barbed wire on the back, some fence posts, steel pickets, a bit of cow poo and the old trusty Picnic Basket in the front. I asked if you were taking me for a picnic somewhere and you just looked at me with a wry smile and said “I just have everything I need in there – plans, pens and my lunch”. I think this sums up your wonderful attitude on life.
Such an unassuming character you always had time to say hello to everyone no matter their position. You certainly made me feel special and cared for.
I’ll miss your happy presence and “no BS” outlook on work and life.
Condolences to your family my friend. We will miss you.
Mark.
So sorry to learn of Bernie’s passing.
